Villa in the delta of the Scheldt

Schouwen-Duiveland, The Netherlands

The Delta of the Scheldt is a beautiful region near the coast in the south of the Netherlands. A lot of water in the neighborhood and a real concrete bunker in the garden as a silent witness of the Second World War.
The lady of the house being an interior architect drew a really special and ‘design’ house. The house is divided in two peaces connected by a metal bridge on the first floor and a roof of glass in the central corridor. This brings a lot of daylight straight into the heart of the building.
Architectural lighting and home automation panels designed by Stefan Schöning (Designer of the year 2008) were the finishing touch of the interior.
